Download your YouTube videos in their original resolution
Step 1: Head to www.google.com/settings/takeout
Step 2: Click the Select none button at the top of the list, then flip the switch next to YouTube. Press Next when finished.
Step 3: Choose the file type you want and the delivery method from their respect drop-down boxes. Finish by clicking Create Archive.
Note: Saving video files to your Google Drive space means that they will count your storage limit. Also, files over 2GB will be divided to meet the limit.
Now, whether you choose to get videos delivered in a link to your Gmail, or you upload them to Google Drive, it will be easy to share them on another video service.
A quick fix for your slow Chrome browser
After some research and experimentation, I tweaked one setting that made Chrome run considerably faster. Your mileage may vary, of course, but this is worth a try:
Step 1: Click the Menu button (top-right corner of the browser, below the Close button), then click Settings.
Step 2: Scroll down and click “Show advanced settings,” then scroll down further until you find the System section.
Step 3: Clear the check box next to “Use hardware acceleration when available.”
Step 4: Shut down Chrome and restart it.
Again, I can’t say for certain this will solve your Chrome performance issues, but it made a noticeable difference on my system.
Whether it’s successful or not, hit the comments and let your fellow Chrome users know the results! And if you’ve found other ways to get the browser back up to speed, share those as well.
